A week after Easter we headed out for a Snipe Egg Hunt. Earlier during the daylight,
we hid approximately 180 eggs along with two golden prize eggs and a few specialty eggs. There were about seventeen teens and young people along with seven adults. After a dinner
of hot dogs, chips, and baked beans, we passed out the flash lights and went over the ground rules. Then, when it was dark, the hunt was on. The young people
went into the pitch black with only flash lights in hand in search of as many eggs as possible. There were prizes for the most eggs found and for finding the
two golden eggs. There was also a prize for the person who dressed the most like Russell from the movie UP. Anna Georges won the Russell lookalike contest. In the end, the
group found all but eleven eggs and discovered that finding the eggs in the dark was more difficult than expected.
